The aim of the project is to increase the share of renewable energy sources in final energy consumption. Fluctuations in electricity use limit UAB “Revijoma”’s ability to purchase electricity at lower prices on the electricity market and create a need for alternative electricity sources, whether fossil-fuel-based or renewable. As the company plans to increase production, its electricity demand is also expected to grow. Given current consumption, rising energy prices and the upward trend in electricity use, the company plans to replace conventional energy sources with renewable ones. This will help optimize energy costs and address environmental issues, including air pollution. The project involves installing a 0.15867 MW photovoltaic solar power plant, allowing the company to use the electricity generated for its own needs and reduce conventional energy consumption.
The project will increase the share of renewable energy in final consumption and encourage greater use of renewable energy in industry. It will help mitigate Lithuania’s impact on climate change, tackle air pollution, improve resource efficiency and reduce dependence on energy imports.
The project is co-financed by the European Union. Total project value: EUR 173,800.00; EU funding: EUR 123,733.60. Project period: 07/2023–07/2025.
